10 Villains For The Spider-Man Reboot (And How To Use Them)

7. Chameleon

Obviously a fan of Boy George, Chameleon is Dimitri Smerdyakov, an elite spy and master of disguise who is in a perpetual state of identity crisis. Chameleon is able to flawlessly mimic the appearance, mannerisms and voice of anyone that he chooses, a lot like Jennifer Lawrence€™s Mystique, but, thankfully, Chameleon wears more than just blue paint. Originally, Chameleon relied on plain old makeup to make himself look like someone else, the same way that the girl who fell out of the ugly tree and hit all the branches on the way down relies on beer googles and eyeliner to make you want to take her home. Later on, with thanks to an experimental serum, Chameleon€™s flesh was rendered malleable, allowing him to change his eye pigmentation, skin, hair, body shape/type and facial features. When he is in his normal form, the chameleon is dead-white, like WWE wrestler Sheamus if he had frosted tips and an allergy to the sun. How He Could Work In The Marvel Studio's Reboot: Chameleon would serve as a secondary player to a bigger, more threatening villain, but the very nature of his powers can make for some interesting scenarios. As he is a step-brother to Kraven the Hunter, Chameleon could use his powers for espionage, infiltrating Peter Parker€™s life and manipulating him. There€™s an €˜Invasion of the Body Snatchers€™ vibe that Chameleon carries and the natural creepiness oozing from the character could make for a memorable foe. However, due to this version of Spider-Man being in high school, having a 30 something year old infiltrate a school and pretend to be a teenager so that he can penetrate the life of an adolescent boy does not sound too appealing on paper.
