10 Villains Perfect For The Batman Movie Trilogy (And Who Should Play Them)
6. Anarky - Rami Malek
Lonnie Machin is a masked vigilante who antagonises the rich and powerful through terrorism and cyber-crime and his political views lean very much toward that of his namesake, anarchism. Sound familiar? Yeah, Anarky isn’t the most original character out there but what does make him unique is the fact he isn’t the protagonist.
He butts heads with the Dark Knight many a time due to the fact that he’s more than willing to take the lives of those he targets, and of course who’s the most rich and powerful man in Gotham? Why our very own Bruce Wayne.
Having a story where Anarky is targeting Wayne or maybe even the Court of Owls, whilst Batman protects them would be a masterpiece of tension unlike anything since The Dark Knight and in a time where Anonymous are all the rage, having a masked anarchist villain would be rather of the moment.
And for casting - let's go easy. Since Anarky isn’t too far removed from Elliot Alderson, why not get the man himself to play him? Since winning his Oscar, Rami Malek has gone on to be cast as a James Bond villain so he’ll be more than ready to play the foe of another one of cinema's greatest heroes.
Not to mention the fact that Malek's performance in Mr. Robot is outstanding and is one of the greatest pieces of TV acting you’ll ever see. If you take anything away from this article, it’s this; for the love of all that is holy, PLEASE, do yourself a favour and WATCH MR. ROBOT!
