10 Villains Sony's Spider-Verse Must Introduce (And Who Should Play Them)

8. Miles Warren (Rebecca Hall)

Richard E. Grant would probably be a worthy choice to play Miles Warren, the geneticist whose love for a deceased Gwen Stacy eventually leads to multiple clones of Peter Parker.

But where's the fun in simply meeting expectations? If Sony wants to stand out — and potentially bring the Clone Saga to their Spider-Verse — they should take some liberties with this origin.

First, swap out a male Miles Warren for a female version, potentially played by Rebecca Hall. A Gwen Stacy-type character Warren knows could bite the dust and influence her experiments, but there are other alternatives.

After Peter Parker is outed by Mysterio, a well-meaning geneticist may want to help solve this poor kid's problem. Cloning offers the opportunity for Warren to let Parker live a life free from Spider-Man. Paint Hall as a sympathetic character just trying to help right a few wrongs of the world and this story will have a much better beginning than "creepy professor tries to ressurect former student".
