10 Villains Sony's Spider-Verse Must Introduce (And Who Should Play Them)

7. Electro (Scott MacArthur)

Electro isn't the coolest villain in the mix but he's certainly the most electrifying. It won't be shocking to discover that Sony wants to bring this high voltage villain to the big screen once again. If they are building towards a Sinister Six, Max Dillon will almost assuredly be part of it.

Scott MacArthur is a great candidate to bring Electro to life a second time around. Seen primarily in bit roles on television series and in the Netflix film El Camino, MacArthur has a gift for drawing attention when he's on the screen.

He has a confidence and comfortability about him, especially when he's playing dodgier characters. MacArthur shows fantastic promise straddling the line between a loveable loser and skeevy degenerate who's not afraid to play dirty to win.

Electro is a flashy character that will rely on CGI, but the man behind the mask should have a little time to shine. MacArthur can effortlessly play cool and in control under pressure or act by shooting first, asking questions later — both attitudes which would create ideal turmoil within the Sinister Six ranks.
