10 Villains That Affleck’s Batman Should Fight Instead Of The Joker
2. Hush
The role of an 'anti-Batman' has been played by many villains, likely because a truly great villain represents the opposite of the hero. The Joker, for instance, represents chaos to Batmans order, but there are plenty of other villains who counter what the hero stands for as well. This Batman gone wrong character has been exemplified by the likes of the Wrath, Dr. Simon Hurt and others, but Hush is the one character who best represents Batman if he had followed a different path. As Tommy Elliot, he shares the same rich upbringing and loss of his parents, but rather than fight to save the city, he sets his sights on vengeance, jealous of the success that his childhood friend Bruce Wayne has enjoyed both publicly and as a caped vigilante. Manipulating events form the shadows, he sends waves of villains after Batman and shrouds himself in mystery the whole way through. His expansive story arc would need to be condensed and changed to work on film but Hush is a fantastic villain that not enough people know about, and needs to get some well-deserved attention instead of an already familiar face.
