10 Villains That Affleck’s Batman Should Fight Instead Of The Joker

5. Clayface

Clayface is a fittingly malleable villain and has been depicted as everything from sympathetic antagonist to brainless monster. This versatility, as well as the numerous characters who have assumed the role over the years, make him a very easy villain to include in almost any narrative. For many, the definitive Clayface is Matt Hagen, the tragic villain from Batman: The Animated Series. The struggling actor began using an experimental compound to cover his scars but quickly found himself turning into a being completely made of clay. His episodes covered themes like addiction, and trying to regain humanity, and it was always clear that he didn€™t enjoy being bad but felt he had no other choice. Conversely, Clayface can also be wisely utilized like in Arkham City. His shapeshifting abilities allowed him to pose as the Joker throughout and that power could easily be used in film to surprisingly reveal a supporting character as being Clayface the entire time. He€™s a layered villain and one who€™s struggle and motivations and much clearer and relatable than the Joker's, making Clayface a unique choice to take on Batman his next time out.
