10 Villains That Affleck’s Batman Should Fight Instead Of The Joker

4. Red Hood

If the rumours are to be believed, Warner Bros is intent on having the Red Hood star as the villain of the new Batman film alongside the Joker. This was done to excellent results in the animated film Batman: Under The Red Hood, but it doesn€™t quite solve the problem of presenting an alternative villain to the Joker. Some may recognize him as the Arkham Knight, others as Jason Todd, the second Robin who was brutally murdered at the hands of the Joker, but now, he goes by another name. Todd resurfaced as the Red Hood years later after having been resurrected by a Lazarus Pit, returning to Gotham City with a much more lethal approach to stopping criminals. His differing philosophy to Batman makes him such a fascinating villain because they essentially want the same thing, they just have different ways of accomplishing it. The issue with using Red Hood in lieu of the Joker is that their stories are so inherently linked together. There are a lot of solutions, however, and the Joker need not be a major player in the film save for a few key flashbacks or hallucinations. It€™s clear from the Batman V Superman trailers that the desecrated costume in the Batcave means Jason Todd is a part of Batman€™s history, it just remains to be seen if he€™s a part of his future as well.
