10 Villains Who Need To Appear In The MCU

As a crime-fighting superhero, it’s probably tough to find yourself warding off masked maniacs and crazed villains every night of the week. But when the villains in question turn out to be the very allies who have fought by your side for the last several years, that’s another thing entirely.

That’s exactly what makes The Skrulls such a powerful storytelling tool; they may appear as large-chinned, goblin-like creatures in their true form, but they possess the ability to take on the form of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, thereby pitting them against each other in an attempt to infiltrate and conquer the planet. They’d make for really enticing foes for the MCU, because they would effectively render all of the characters we’ve come to love as untrustworthy.

Guardians of the Galaxy already introduced us to the Skrulls’ sworn enemies, the Kree, so they’d make for an effective and easy-to-introduce set of antagonists for any post-Infinity War movies.

According to Guardians director James Gunn, the rights to The Skrulls are co-owned by Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox, meaning we could even see a race between the two production houses to see who can use them first.
