10 Viral Outbreak Movies To Watch While In Quarantine

REC is a horror flick set in Barcelona and stars Angela, a news reporter, and Pablo, her cameraman. The duo are filming a documentary about nightshift firefighters, who are called to an apartment building when an elderly woman has become trapped inside her home. Upon gaining entry to her apartment, the woman is found to have become feral and attacks the group immediately.

The building is quickly quarantined by police and the military, much to the shock of the residents and crew inside. A health inspector rocking a hazmat suit explains that there’s a deadly infection spreading which chooses its victims based on their blood type.

Thus, we find ourselves locked in the apartment block with Angela and Pablo for this terrifying and underrated found-footage ride. As the film continues, we come into contact with more and more of the viciously infected residents, learn about a biological demonic possession, and watch Angela and Pablo’s desperate attempts at an escape that is all but futile.
