6. Sandman Killed Uncle Ben - Spider-Man 3

SPIDERMAN-3-La-creation-de-Venom-et-de-Sandman Ah, Spider-Man 3, a film so offensive to comic book fans that it actually appears on this list twice. The film was an absolute mess from start to finish, and it's no surprise that Sam Raimi and Sony clashed on so many things, because it shows in the final product. One of the prevailing issues is The Sandman, for while his origin story is well-executed - benefiting especially from some superb visual effects - the decision to use the character to retcon a previously-established plot point left a very sour taste in the mouths of many fans. It's revealed in Spider-Man 3 that the random criminal who shot and killed Uncle Ben actually did not, and that it was in fact Flint Marko aka Sandman himself. It's silly because it's so contrived and unlikely, and then this is made worse by Peter summarily forgiving him at the end because, oh, he's not really that bad after all. Still, that's not the worst thing the film has to offer...
