10 Ways 2016's Superhero Movies Will Leave Fanboys Massively Disappointed
4. Spider-Man Won't Have A Major Role In Civil War
Right now, there are conflicting reports about Spider-Man's role in Captain America: Civil War. We know that the movie is going to serve as his introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and that he'll be involved in at least one battle sequence, but the moment fans have been waiting years to see - the wall-crawler lining up with the rest of The Avengers - is likely going to be something which doesn't happen until Infinity War. In fact, Spider-Man will probably be relatively unimportant to Civil War's story, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him get only a few minutes of screen-time. A worst case scenario is that he feels thrown in for the sake of it, especially when the iconic character's comic book counterpart had a huge role in Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's story. It's admittedly still hard to say how much we'll see of him, but no way does it match that series. There are lot of other potential problems with Marvel's take on Spider-Man, because as great as the studio are, a lot of fans hate the thought of spending more time with the character in a high school setting. However, with rumours that Sony execs recently demanded to see a cut of Civil War to approve Spider-Man's role, you have to remember that Marvel don't have full control, and that ultimately could lead to the biggest problems.
