10 Ways Avengers: Secret Wars Could Change The MCU Forever

5. A New Infinity Gauntlet

In Phase Four, the MCU has moved on from Thanos and his Infinity Quest. With the Mad Titan’s death, and Captain America returning the heisted stones back to where the Avengers found them, Earth-616 was officially able to move on from the first saga of the franchise. However, that’s not to say that the Mad Titan and the stones haven’t been mentioned since.

In Loki, the gems were used by the TVA as paperweights, Doctor Strange had to remind Spider-Man that the Time Stone was gone, and Ultron almost took over the multiverse after stealing them from Thanos. There could possibly be room for yet another full Infinity Gauntlet by the end of the Multiverse Saga.

In the comics, after Strange was killed by Doom, he managed to get the gauntlet onto the hand of T’Challa. With Strange’s experience of the multiverse seemingly growing, you wouldn’t put it past him to have quietly collected the stones for himself from across the multiverse as something of an insurance policy.

Though this is no longer the Infinity Saga, MCU fans would absolutely get a kick out of seeing the gauntlet wielded again. In the comics it was used as a distraction, and even if this was the case in the MCU, seeing either Kang or Doom fight off the gauntlet and potentially defeat whoever holds it would go a fair way to cementing them as the strongest villain ever faced in the MCU.
