10 Ways Captain America: Civil War Will Set Up Avengers: Infinity War

8. Black Panther Becomes The Avengers' Peacekeeper

Though it initially seemed that Black Panther was taking Tony Stark's side in the Civil War, it now appears that this isn't the case at all. Actor Chadwick Boseman recently confirmed that Panther appears more in a peacekeeper-type role, attempting to capture Bucky in order to bring all the chaos under control. He is not strictly against Cap nor really in league with Iron Man beyond trying to calm everything down. Expect this to remain a significant aspect of his character through to Infinity War, possibly serving as the diplomatic voice of reason who helps bring the two warring factions together to take on Thanos in Part 2. Panther can bring a unique voice of reason to their conflicting ideologies, an outsider with a unique worldview who isn't saddled with the same emotional baggage as the pair (namely Cap's devotion to Bucky and Stark's guilt over creating Ultron).
