10 Ways Deadpool 2 Is Actually A Huge Disappointment

9. Cable's Decision

Cable spends the entirety of the film with one goal: save his family. He traveled back in time for the express purpose of stopping Russell and returning to his wife and daughter.

At the end of the film, as Cable tries to kill Russell one last time, Deadpool takes the bullet for Russell in an attempt to save his life. It just so happens that Deadpool is wearing a depowering collar when he gets shot, so his healing factor doesn't heal the bullet wound. Instead, Deadpool dies. So, with only one use of his time travel machine left, Cable travels back in time to save Deadpool's life.

But here's the thing: he definitely didn't need to do any of that.

The depowering collar is removable and is removed shortly after Deadpool is saved. Earlier in the film, Deadpool's healing factor was powerful enough to save him from an explosion that blew him to bits. All they had to do was take Deadpool's collar off and his healing factor would have brought him back to life.

Instead, Cable wastes his last time travel on him and then seems completely fine with the notion of not returning to his family, the ENTIRE reason he did any of this in the first place.
