10 Ways Marvel Could Introduce Fantastic Four Into MCU

6. Activating The Infinity Gauntlet Causes A Reality Shift

This is possibly the most complex solution, but it does have an added benefit; it’s the only theory which neatly introduces both the Fantastic Four and the X-Men. After all, Xavier’s ilk face a much bigger ask than Reed and his crew.

Though it’s been done before, you can just give the Fantastic Four and origin story and kick on from there. It’s much harder to explain how mutants exist and no one has ever noticed them, or why powerful beings like Magneto and Professor X have sat on the sidelines while Earth has been in peril.

Enter the Reality Stone. This was used for some interesting set pieces during Infinity War, but with the power to distort reality it opens up a world of possibilities. Pretty much every Endgame theory involves bringing Spidey et al back from the dead, but what if they aren’t dead at all?

Thanos may have created an alternate universe for the snapped, a shift which brings the Fantastic Four into the picture (explained in more detail a little later) and which causes non-supers to mutate slightly, ushering in the X-Men. It still doesn’t explain Xavier and his school for the gifted, but one thing at a time.
