7. Baron Zemo Already Has One
Captain America: Civil War seems like an odd place to include an Infinity Stone. It already looks to be overflowing with characters, and introducing yet another subplot may simply be too much. That said, its impossible to ignore the possibility that a villain like Baron Zemo already has one in his possession. The First Avenger saw the Red Skull go to great length to acquire the magical artifact, and considering Zemos similar views and resources, if there is a Stone on Earth, he would be the type of person to find it. Alternatively, his lineage is both powerful and tied directly to HYDRA. With the success they had in harnessing the Tesseract (to behind with), its conceivable that one of his ancestors followed in the Skull's footsteps after he disappeared, passing down the Stone to this generation. Zemo could simply be a master manipulator, but an object of this power would also help to explain why hes able to get all of these superheroes to apparently act as he wishes. And with it said that Zemo is being set up for future appearances, even a glimpse of him with the Stone would be enough to build on for a future appearance in Infinity War.
