10 Ways Phase 3 Could Ruin The Marvel Cinematic Universe

3. By Losing All Of Its Stars

Of course, Marvel may soon find themselves in a position where they're forced to change. The multi-film deals their stars signed at the dawn of the MCU seemed ridiculous but now, almost a decade on, those contracts are starting to run out. Getting Robert Downey, Jr. pinned down for more Iron Man sequels has proved difficult, with his solo movies apparently done. Continued appearances in Avengers films and Civil War are confirmed, but only for so long. The only information about Infinity War that's come out is that Winter Soldier directors Anthony and Joe Russo may be helming it - as for who the Avengers will actually be at that point is up for debate, with Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L Jackson and the Chris Trio not getting any younger. Introducing the likes of Paul Bettany as The Vision, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlett Witch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver in Age Of Ultron could be seen as them preparing for this eventuality, and it'd make a change to see some fresh faces - but losing all their bankable stars could also spell disaster.
