3. Kraven's Last Hunt
The Sony Hack emails revealed that Sony bosses actually considered adapting this story at one point, even if they did copy and paste most of the details from Wikipedia. If there's one thing The Amazing Spider-Man 2 got really wrong, it was the childish and goofy tone, so taking things down a darker path for the threequel would have been no bad thing. Peter Parker would have certainly been in a pretty dark place following the death of Gwen Stacy, so having to overcome someone like Kraven in a story which sees him shot and buried alive could have been just what Spider-Man needed to overcome his grief. The fact that there were still so many stories left to tell is what makes it so surprising that Sony have rushed to reboot the franchise after already doing that just three years ago.
