10 Ways Spider-Man Leaving The MCU Is Secretly Great
4. There's No Worry Villains And Allies Will Be Wasted
Back when Sony and Marvel still had their deal, there was a general worry that the former studio were going to waste all of Spidey's best villains in their own contrived spin-off productions. There was talk of there even being a Kraven solo movie - because of course there was - which threatened to set a precedent where other beloved Spidey villains would never get to share the silver screen with Holland in the MCU.
Silver Sable, Black Cat and Silk are all confirmed to be getting their own spin-off films too, and while they could all certainly exist on their own, there's now a chance they get to team up with Tom Holland's Peter too.
Granted, this wouldn't have been an issue if Sony weren't so keen to capitalise on Spidey's MCU popularity with their own efforts, but it's something to consider all the same.
As was mentioned earlier though, the wall-crawler has one of the most expansive mythologies in the Marvel universe, and if Sony can get his supporting cast going in their own films, there'll be plenty to keep it going in the long run.
