5. An Audience Pay-Off For Finn & Rose's Stupidity

The leading complaint in a sea of woes, Finn & Rose's journey to Canto Bight is set to be the stuff of pub corner grumbles for the rest of time. Case in point: The bizarre decision to leave the planet with a different person to who they were tasked with retrieving - all because said person, DJ, says he can get the job done.

The job in question is codebreaking, and though DJ is mostly goodhearted (his swindling ways are more a Han Solo parallel than anything else), a line was cut that addresses the stupidity in Finn and Rose's "improvisation".

Coming just after his betrayal, while the pair are held at gunpoint by the First Order, Rose chastises DJ by saying, "How could you?!", only for DJ to brilliantly reply with exactly what the audience was thinking:

"Sorry I turned out to be exactly what I said I was."
