10 Ways Superhero Movies & TV Shows Will Be Affected By Current World Events
6. Eternals Could Also Suffer A Noteworthy Delay
Eternals is facing similar problems to Venom 2 in the sense that principal photography is finished, but reshoots and post-production work is not. You need only look at some of the MCU's deleted scenes to see what major changes have been made in the past thanks to reshoots, and it's hard to imagine the same won't be the case for this film too.
Marvel Studios is nothing if not resourceful, and if they can film The Avengers' post-credits scene the night of the premiere, they can probably squeeze in Eternals' reshoots at the end of the summer if things have turned around by then, right?
Well, that's easier said than done when we're talking about a big budget blockbuster such as this, and if major parts of the movie need to be reworked, then there's no way all the pieces will fall into place in time. So, as we mentioned earlier, the most logical option would be to push Eternals to February 2021.
It's a disappointing prospect, but Marvel Studios can't afford to drop the ball on a new franchise like this, so getting it right is more important than hitting a release date.
