10 Ways The DCEU Will Change Without Zack Snyder
4. Less Bat-Death (And Less R-Ratings?)
Banging the drum that Batman didn't kill anyone before Zack Snyder came along would be as pointless as it would be wrong. The Dark Knight has killed lots in the past, and it's in no way a compromise of what he represents - particularly as he was mostly forced into extreme measures.
The problem with Snyder's Batman is that he seems gleefully casual about it all. He takes too many opportunities to allow cannon fodder characters to live up to their billing, and even as the DCEU itself became increasingly obsessed with the idea of innocent collateral damage, he ramped up quite the kill-count.
There are already rumours that Batman has softened his penchant for murder in Justice League, and with Matt Reeves promising greater focus on the traditional detective elements of the character, it seems Snyder's kill happy Bat will be consigned to the past soon.
