5. Sentinels

Hands down, one of the coolest aspects of Day Of Future Past would have to be the mutant annihilating Sentinels in the dystopian future. The opening scene where they take out Colossus (Daniel Cudmore), Iceman (Shawn Ashmore), Blink (Fan Bingbing), Sunspot (Adan Canto), and Warpath (Booboo Stewart) effortlessly was undoubtedly amazing to watch. The Sentinels that are introduced during the €˜70s are obviously not as technologically advanced as they would later become, with Magneto manhandling them effortlessly. So as great as it was to finally see the Sentinels on the big-screen (The Last Stand doesn't count), there is still something we haven€™t seen€a fair fight. In the future the Sentinels are practically indestructible, even the most powerful mutants in the world like Storm and Magneto have no chance against them. In the past they€™re understandably not yet that formidable of a foe, they are the first of their kind. In X-Men: Apocalypse it would be nice to see a battle between the X-Men and the Sentinels that is semi-balanced. Wolverine could be opening them up like tin cans while someone like Mystique would be at a clear disadvantage.
