X-Men: Apocalypse: 10 Ways To Ensure It's The Best In The Series

6. Bishop & Cable Need To Be Involved

Bishop And Cable X Men Animated Series What€™s a time travel X-Men story involving Apocalypse without Cable and Bishop? Bishop (played by Omar Sy) was of course introduced in XMDOFP, but got precious little screen time. Bishop is a mutant with the ability to absorb energy and redirect it in kinetic blasts. In the comic books he€™s a member of a mutant police force from a dystopian future. He eventually travels to the 20th century and joins the X-Men, a team he knew only as legends. A brash antihero, he is essentially a fish out of water, having difficulty adjusting to the norms of the time period. Nathan Christopher Charles Dayspring Summers is the time-traveling soldier known as Cable, who also happens to be the son of Cyclops. Cable, of course, hasn€™t been involved with the X-Men cinematic universe at all as of yet. In the comics Cable was literally created to be a weapon against Apocalypse. His inclusion in X-Men: Apocalypse seems almost guaranteed, but you never know. Bishop and Cable have crossed paths with Apocalypse many times in the comic book universe and teamed up (sort of) in the animated series to take him down. Any X-Men fan would feel shortchanged if they€™re not included.
