10 Ways Zack Snyder Can Screw Up Superman Batman

5. Ignoring The Consequences Of Man of Steel

MAN OF STEEL One feeling going into Batman and Superman is that it will stymie the momentum Snyder established in Man of Steel, given that there are questions we don't know the answers to, and much that has to be worked out following the movie's shocking ending, in which Superman ended up breaking Zod's neck to save a family he was trying to kill. This follow-up needs to deal with the psychological implications of this, of how Clark feels having erased the last trace (other than himself) of his race, given that it should weigh heavily on him and not be dismissed or treated with kid gloves. The problem is that with throwing Batman in the mix, who will no doubt need his own characterisation while also delivering on the demands of a superhero team-up, it's going to make for a crowded, cluttered movie that probably won't have space to adequately engage with Superman as a person.
