7. Amusement Park Promoter - Helen Mirren
When you see the word "Dame" before an actor's name it's hard to imagine that they weren't always a part of the arts establishment in the UK - this is certainly applicable to Helen Mirren, who received the Dame Commander of the British Empire in 2003 and has even played Queen Elizabeth II. With her striking good looks it wouldn't be at all surprising to discover that she was once employed in a line of work which involved encouraging punters to part with their hard-earned cash, although promoting an amusement park in Southend-on-Sea is hardly the kind of work you'd expect from someone with Mirren's level of class. Mirren comes from an upbringing which she once described as "very anti-monarchist" which is certainly at odds with the roles she has taken on throughout her acting career - she's played three queens on screen so far.
