10 Weirdest Cameos In James Bond Movies
6. Deborah Moore – Die Another Day
As a nod to the Bonds since past, Deborah Moore, daughter of legendary Bond actor Roger Moore, makes a little cameo as the air hostess in 2002’s Die Another Day that gives Bond his ‘shaken, not stirred’ vodka martini as he travels back to London. Which, because its Die Another Day, has to happen to the tune of London Calling by The Clash just to hit that silliness quota.
However, it has to be said that this particular cameo feels very shallow, especially when put in context with everything that Roger Moore did for the James Bond franchise back in the 70s and 80s. This, and the fact that Deborah Moore herself is an actor with many films on her resume such as Lionheart, Into The Sun and Chaplin where she starred alongside Robert Downey Jr.
Surely this means that Deborah Moore would have been capable of more than just a line, and could have been right at home with a beefier role to pay respects to her father’s legacy.
However, Die Another Day was the most overblown and over-budgeted of the James Bond films, so it does make sense that any self-respect the series had or could have gone to was missing by that point. Die Another Day was the reason why the Casino Royale reboot with Daniel Craig was such a breath of fresh air; it just didn’t fit well as a Bond movie and could have killed the franchise if they hadn’t rebooted it with Daniel Craig.
