10 Weirdest Cameos In James Bond Movies
3. Maud Adams – A View To A Kill
Maud Adams was no stranger to the Bond films by the time A View To A Kill came around. She earned the title of ‘Bond Girl’ in 1974’s The Man With The Golden Gun where she played Andrea Anders, Scaramanga’s mistress, who dies from a bullet to the heart during a Thai boxing match, and she was also in 1983’s Octopussy where she played Magda, the titular woman in question with a tattoo of a blue-ringed Octopus on her arm.
However, her appearance in A View To A Kill is a definite ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ role. She can be seen in the streetcar in Paris, but there is also a debate as to whether it’s actually her, as others say that she can be seen walking down the street in the background of one of the shots. Either way, it is confirmed that Maud Adams did appear in A View To A Kill in some respect.
The story behind it, however, is quite strange. Maud Adams wasn’t going to be in A View To A Kill at all, cameo or otherwise, but apparently, during filming, she just dropped in on where they were filming by accident, and Roger Moore convinced the production team to have her cameo in the background.
Thus Maud Adams can make the claim that she is the only female actress to appear in three bond movies.
