10 Weirdest Movie Appearances By Musicians

7. Eminem - "Funny People"

Funnypeople Eminem1 Honestly, where did this one come from? Eminem - one of the most successful rap artists of all time €“ appearing in a Judd Apatow film opposite Adam Sandler? Who thought this up? Despite being undoubtedly peculiar, Em€™s little cameo is actually a humdinger €“ contributing well to Funny People€™s overall blend of comedy and drama. After pitching in with a semi-autobiographical performance in the gripping 8 Mile which was half-Eminem bio, half rap-drama, Marshall Mathers is 100% himself here €“ from the backwards baseball cap to the reading glasses. When Sandler€™s character George Simmons is given some good news regarding his life-threatening condition, he goes out to celebrate with a few friends, including Slim Shady himself. It€™s strange seeing Em up on screen for the first real time since 8 Mile, and even stranger hearing him tell Sandler that he should€™ve avoided treatment and just allowed himself to die. The rap star goes on to berate the miserable lifestyle of celebrities, before spotting Ray Romano looking at him from across the restaurant and totally losing it. Em, in no uncertain terms, roughly interrogates Ray with some unpleasant questions with amusing results, before slipping back into conversation with Sandler. It€™s a scene of utter bemusement yes€ but in a good way.

Gaz Lloyd hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
