10 Weirdest Movie Crossovers Ever

3. The Flintstones & WWE: Stone Age SmackDown/The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania!

WWE Flintstones Crossover
Warner Bros

A double feature here to skirt the rule of no franchises appearing twice, because it’s impossible to split whether it’s stranger for the WWE to travel backwards or forwards in time. Also, while it’s definitely weird for them to appear with one family, the second one then felt like a given.

The Flintstones and The Jetsons, while being set centuries apart, have always felt intrinsically linked; that’s why their own crossover together didn’t feel strange in the slightest. How exactly the WWE fits in with either of them is anyone’s guess though.

We’ve seen a few stars climb out of the wrestling industry to become movie stars, so no one can blame the wrestlers themselves for wanting to test themselves in a relatively pressure free environment.

Dwayne Johnson is the most obvious pick, but John Cena’s having a crack now while Triple H, Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan all tried to make it with varying degrees of success before him.

Cena stars here too, alongside CM Punk, Nikki Bella, Rey Mysterio, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, who may look back on this fondly later in their career. If their careers are go anything like Dwayne Johnson’s, they definitely will.
