The Great Emancipator has appeared in dozens of films over the years, with Daniel Day Lewis's recent portrayal of him probably being the most famous and critically acclaimed. Still, he didn't kill any vampires in that film, which obviously shows just how little research the filmmakers must have done.

Not so in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which follows the young Abe as he attempts to avenge the death of his mother at the hands of a plantation owner named Jack Barts.

Upon confronting Barts he is overpowered and finds out that Barts is a vampire. Luckily for Abe, he is saved and learns of the vampire's weakness to silver.

Having finally overcome Barts, he engages on the political career that we all know him for. Unfortunately for him, by the time the American Civil War rolls around the vampires have taken the side of the confederates and do battle again the Union Army.

Of course, Lincoln knows their secret and manages to get silver weaponry made, thus winning the war. Bet you never read about that in any of the history books.
