10 Weirdest Presidential Portrayals In Film

2. John F. Kennedy - Bubba Ho-Tep

Bubba Ho-Tep sees Elvis Presley team up with John F. Kennedy to battle an ancient Egyptian mummy that has come to life and is terrorising the nursing home that they live in.

Plus JFK is now black.

That should surely be enough to warrant inclusion on this list on its own, but a little more context is probably needed. Kennedy's skin colour change is apparently the result of Lyndon Johnson and crew dying his skin black after he survived the assassination attempt, before dumping him in a nursing home.

For his part, Bruce Campbell's Elvis never died either, having switched places with an Elvis impersonator who is the one who died on the toilet in 1977. To make matters even more confusing, Elvis then apparently went on to make a decent living imitating himself before retiring to the nursing home where the film takes place.

Bubba Ho-Tep is a cult classic and with that sort of plot it's no surprise at all. It's also the only film on this list where the President was portrayed as someone of an entirely different race.
