Whenever anybody has even the semblance of an interesting idea, you can always count on Asylum to be there to release something very similar - with a low budget and god-awful script - to capitalise.

Clearly having anticipated the possibility of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter getting a cult following, the group managed to knock together Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies to take advantage of the publicity surrounding the film. They even managed to get it released a couple of weeks before Vampire Hunter in a clear effort to get people to watch it by mistake.

The film even has a similar plot, only this time Honest Abe must do battle with zombified Confederate soldiers, rather than those who have teamed up with vampires.

It's all utterly ridiculous and nowhere near the quality of Vampire Hunter, but it's still worth a watch just to see how bad it is. Plus you get to find out that Lincoln arranged his own assassination after being infected towards the tail end of the film.

Unfortunately, the film didn't have the style or budget to pull it off quite like Vampire Hunter managed, which is why this is the most ridiculous presidential portrayal in film history.
