10 Well Known Actors Who Got Worse Over Time

5. Will Smith

Bruce Willis Death Wish
Columbia Pictures

Starting off as a music artist and a leading member of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Will Smith became a widely recognised and popular actor on the big screen for over a decade. His movie making began in the late nineties with Bad Boys, Independence Day and Men in Black, which established him as a true force in Hollywood.

For a long time, Smith was considered one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood. It seemed you could slap his name on anything and it would sell. His charm got audiences in the seats and thanks to his wide-reaching filmography, he was able to tackle many genres and narratives. That changed in the early 2010s.

Smith traded off his natural charisma for a series of vanity projects and lacklustre productions, the most notable of which being the 2013 bomb After Earth. His success on screen has been mixed ever since.
