7. What If The Vision Of The Avengers Conquered The World? (Volume 2, Issue #19)
Proving that Vision could easily be a horror character as a side gig, What If? #19 covers the illustrious and nightmare-inducing realm of a universe wherein Vision uses his technological powers to completely overthrow and rule the entire Earth.
The issue is...well, terrifying, and in being such it reminds us that Vision could be a monumental threat to civilisation were he ever to fully want to. The creepiest part of that Vision doesn't even seem to actively consider his actions evil, as his motives for taking over are to prevent potential nuclear war and keep humanity safe. This escalates to the point that Vision also begins to annihilate other planets, out of fear that they may try to threaten Earth.
Ignoring the weird undertones of the comic that appear to be discussing communism through Vision, it'd make for an incredible translation to television, as the whole thing feels like an episode of the Twilight Zone on steroids.
