10 What If? MCU Scenarios Marvel Should Explore
5. What If Spider-Man Was A Murderer? (Volume 2, Issue #72)
The one issue that's never explored about heroes with super-strength is exactly how a hero discovers it. Given approximately nobody would continually test their own strength, it's surprising that no comic really features someone discovering they have the strength of ten men in the most obvious way; a fight.
No comic, that is, aside from What if? #72, where we watch Spider-man semi-accidentally murder the man who killed his Uncle Ben. Spider-Man has long been one of the more moral superheroes, meaning that seeing him retrospectively struggle with the idea of doing something objectively evil really adds that extra layer of dimension to the character.
With Tom Holland's Spider-Man being so widely adored for his incredibly well-meaning, do-gooder nature, it'd prove more a magnificent change to see what a more morally questionable web slinger would look like.
