Once the JLA's dispute with Darkseid is dealt with, Crisis on Two Earths absolutely must be the next Justice League storyline. A story interpreted from the Grant Morrison graphic novel JLA: Earth 2, Crisis on Two Earths has already been brought to film by the animated film of the same name. However, this shocking and enthralling story offers the perfect way to introduce multi-dimensional crossovers.

The story depicts a heroic Lex Luthor, the sole survivor of Earth 3's equivalent to the Justice League, travelling to Earth One to recruit the JLA for help. The Justice League must then face off against their Earth 3 counterparts who make up The Crime Syndicate of America.

The Justice League taking on their exact equals would be incredible to bring to the big screen and would allow DC to bring in fantasy castings. For example, Tom Welling, formerly known for playing Clark Kent in Smallville, could take up the role of Ultraman or Jon Hamm, who has been linked to play Batman himself in recent months, could portray his counterpart Owl Man.

The possibilities for this movie are endless, and it could be the one that lets the Justice League surpass the Avengers as the most iconic superhero team in cinema.
