10 Worst Accidental Deaths In Horror Movies

6. Ben Tramer - Halloween II

The Halloween series understandably doesn't feature a whole lot of accidental death, given that almost every corpse is delivered by Michael Myers and his trusty chef's knife.

But the original Halloween II features one of the most unsettling and tragic accidents in any horror film, when poor Ben Tramer (Jack Verbois) gets mistaken for Michael.

Tramer, mentioned in the first film as Laurie Strode's (Jamie Lee Curtis) crush, has the misfortune of wearing an extremely similar costume to Michael - a boiler suit and William Shatner mask, albeit with blond hair instead of brunette.

Blissfully unaware of Myers' rampage, Ben drunkenly crosses the street as a trigger-happy Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence) attempts to shoot him, but before he can fire off a shot, Tramer is hit by a cop car.

It gets worse - the car continues to careen into a van, violently smashing Tramer into it and triggering an explosion which at least appears to kill him instantly.

While a fundamentally ridiculous death, it's also a genuinely sad accident, albeit one that was admittedly rendered non-canon by the 2018 Halloween retooling. Ben Tramer lives!
