10 Worst Accidental Deaths In Horror Movies
3. Dr. Andrew Fassbach - World War Z
Despite the overwhelming majority of World War Z's deaths occurring due to the colossal zombie horde plaguing the globe, sometimes all it takes is giving a gun to somebody who has no business holding one.
Case in point we have Dr. Andrew Fassbach (Elyes Gabel), a young virologist attempting to discover the origins of the undead virus and find a vaccine.
He's given a gun as part of a military convoy in South Korea, and though protagonist Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) warns him about keeping his finger off the trigger, he fails to heed that advice once the proverbial hits the fan.
As the zombies attack, Fassbach flees back to the plane, but in doing so slips on the wet cargo ramp, causing his gun to discharge and blast a hole through his head, killing him instantly.
While on one hand there's a sure note of unintentional comedy to this scene, it's also totally relatable to anyone who's never handled a gun before. In a situation defined by panic, it's totally conceivable that anyone could slip over and accidentally cap themselves in the brainpan.
