10 Worst Adam Sandler Movies Ever
6. The Do-Over (2016)
Eyebrows were raised when Netflix decided to give Sandler a four movie deal, but despite so many of his films being critically panned, he does make a whole lot of money. Perhaps Netflix hoped he might return to his former glory and come up with some great ideas for the streaming service. Instead, they got four of Sandler's worst ever films.
The Do-Over was one of the biggest stinkers of an already pungent bunch. Teaming Sandler with long-time collaborator David Spade, the film follows the pair embroiled in criminal conspiracies after faking their deaths to start a new life. As usual, Sandler casts himself as a multi-talented world-saver, and as usual, the film is riddled with hideously offensive jokes.
The film breaks trend for Sandler, however, by actually having a rather complex plot. In fact, the story becomes so bewildering in the latter stages that it's actually quite hard to follow, and the gags take a backseat while all of the various plot threads attempt to weave themselves into something resembling a coherent story. So not only are you not laughing, you're also confused. Great.
