10 Worst CGI Effects In Sci-Fi Movies

4. Men In Black II - Locker Universe

As we've mentioned a few times in this list already, the first Men in Black (1997) received critical acclaim for its high quality visual effects, used to create characters like Edgar the Bug in the sci-fi action comedy. Also, MiB even earned an Academy Award for its fantastic use of make-up to bring certain aliens to life.

Yet, when the sequel Men in Black II hit our screens in 2002, the increased budget size didn't necessarily lead to substantial CGI improvement as far as the various intergalactic creatures were concerned.

One of the most disappointing digitally created moments came at the end of the feature and involved the idea of entire universes being crammed inside of lockers found in an alien train station.

The concept seems ming-bending and hilarious enough, however the terrible execution leaves much to be desired.

It felt like a great deal of effort had gone into crafting the furry little creatures we'd seen earlier in a Grand Central Station locker. Unfortunately, the lazily designed video game-esque extra terrestrials we saw wandering around in the alien train station during the final shot of the film felt like a rushed last minute addition.

If you want to avoid complete and utter disappointment, stick to the alternate ending which sees Will Smith's Agent J blasting off to the furry aliens' world instead.
