10 Worst CGI Moments In DCEU History

7. Aquaman In Sicily - Aquaman

While it is not uncommon for comic book movies to end up in space, Aquaman took its story below the surface of the Earth rather than above it. The underwater kingdom of Atlantis actually looked spectacular for the most part in the movie; it was strangely above the water where the film struggled with realistic CGI.

In particular, the scene in which Black Manta and his henchmen chase Arthur and Mera through Sicily was incredibly disappointing. We can realistically see an underwater palace and an octopus playing the drums, but not a few people running across rooftops?

While Arthur was tied up fighting Black Manta himself, Mera was busied with his henchmen. Both fights went on side by side and almost ended in a free running scene across the town’s rooftops and smashing through the walls.

This could have been something really special and fun, but the CGI let it down. The entire scene looked more like something out of a video game, a relatively old video game at this stage, rather than a movie with the kind of budget Aquaman had.
