10 Worst CGI Moments In DCEU History

6. Polka-Dot Man's Mother - The Suicide Squad

In James Gunn’s iteration of the Suicide Squad, just like in David Ayer’s, there was a lot of CGI to be seen. While Nanaue was a walking, talking shark, the CGI problem didn’t come from his direction. Strangely enough it was from Polka-Dot Man’s mother.

There was a running joke through the movie that Abner sees his mother everywhere he goes. His entire team turned into her in one scene, he was surrounded by a number of her when on the dancefloor, and when it came time to attack Starro, even then he envisioned her in the giant starfish's place. This was where the CGI struggled.

Of all the bizarre things that happened in The Suicide Squad, making a woman the height of a building seems a relatively simple task in comparison, but it just didn’t look right. As she grasped the knee that her son had just disintegrated, the green screen behind her seemed painfully obvious.

She also looked ridiculous as she took over the appearance of all of Abner’s team mates. As strange as it was to see her in the Peacemaker costume, it was trying to put her face over Nanaue’s that crossed the line from fun to silly, all thanks to weak CGI.
