10 Worst CGI Moments In MCU History

5. Goose In Space (Captain Marvel)

Along with the Skrulls and the Kree, there was another alien race that featured in Captain Marvel. This came in the form of Goose the Flerkin. Though the adorable little critter looked and acted for the most part like a common cat, it was in fact a deadly alien.

With the creature going into space, there was a lot that it would go through in the movie that the producers simply wouldn’t be able to get a real life cat to do. This, paired with the fact that Brie Larson is actually allergic to cats, led to Goose being a largely computer generated entity.

Unfortunately, this was painfully obvious at times. When she was just walking along and brushing up against Nick Fury’s legs there was no problem, but when she was floating in space for example, it was clear that she was a product of CGI.

While no one watching would expect it to be a real cat floating around, it was quite jarring and forced the audience to feel disconnected from the movie at least for that moment when it did look as manufactured as it did.
