10 Worst CGI Moments In MCU History

3. The Final Battle (Black Panther)

Black Panther is a fantastic entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, centered around one of the strongest protagonists the franchise has ever boasted battling with arguably the most compelling villain not named Thanos.

However, no matter the relevance and poignancy of their differences throughout the movie, it all boiled down to an incredibly CGI heavy fist fight in Mount Bashenga, and Marvel Studios simply didn’t do the rest of the movie justice.

As T’Challa and Killmonger took their fight into the heart of the mountain, both protected by their suits, which weren’t the most stellar CGI in the world to begin with, the magnet train tracks affected the nanotechnology, meaning that parts of the vibranium armour went missing, exposing the skin beneath.

The entire battle was overshadowed by how poor this looked, and how obvious the CGI deficiencies were. This put a sour note on what was overall another home run for the MCU, but it could have been so much better with a finish that didn’t rely so heavily on the CGI that simply wasn’t up to scratch. This unquestionably let down the rest of the movie.
