10 Worst Decisions Hollywood Has Made In 2016 (So Far)

4. Admitting That Only 35% Of Assassin's Creed Takes Place In The Past

Assassin's Creed 35%

The Assassin's Creed movie looks pretty decent, and has a firm chance of becoming the first legitimately good video game film. That said, the movie's executive producer Pat Crowley admitted in a recent interview that 65% of the film would be set in the present day rather than the Animus-produced past.

Considering that the present day sequences are easily the most maligned aspect of the games and have been largely reduced with each passing game, it's a bold move to emphasise that and downplay the past setting, which is what everyone actually loves about these games.

We'll see if it pays off, but it's pretty bad PR for the movie to actually admit to something so controversial upfront. Risky.
