10 Worst Ever Accent Fails In Film
4. Dick Van Dyke – Mary Poppins
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOMqqI-kzHYAlso known as D*** Van D*** in the censorship episode of Family Guy, the comedy genius has been in some of the most memorable childhood films of all time. This is why he gets away with the biggest massacre of the Cockney accent known to film; most kids are lucky enough not to have heard Cockney before when they first encounter this abomination.
The best thing about Dick Van Dyke though in Mary Poppins is that he is clearly having a lot of fun, and doesn’t care what people think of his accent. That sets him apart from the rest because they all seem to be aware of the fact that they are not doing such a great job of it.
So bonus points go to Mr. Van Dyke.
