10 Worst Ever MCU Post-Credit Scenes

8. Mordo's Heel Turn - Doctor Strange

Spider-Man: Homecoming
Marvel Studios

When Doctor Strange was introduced to the MCU six years ago with his own solo outing, he was joined by Karl Mordo, a fellow student of The Ancient One at Kamar-Taj. Casual fans may have found nothing strange about this, but comic fans knew better.

Typically in the source material, Baron Mordo was an enemy of Stephen Strange, and so many believed he would turn on his ally before the movie was done. Though the seeds were sewn, there was no turn in the character until the post-credit scene.

Here he tracked down Jonathan Pangborn, a man who learned to use magic to be able to walk again, and he attacked him. The world had far too many sorcerers according to Mordo, setting him on the path of villainy. This however, didn’t really come to anything.

His broken relationship with Strange was referenced in the Multiverse of Madness, but now, six years later, this version of Mordo is still yet to be seen again. It seems as though mentioning him trying to kill Stephen is enough for Marvel Studios to believe this tease to be paid off.
