10 Worst Ever MCU Post-Credit Scenes

7. A Meeting That Went Nowhere - Spider-Man: Homecoming

Spider-Man: Homecoming was an MCU triumph, and kicked off what is arguably the franchise’s most consistent trilogy in a strong fashion. The new Spidey was a hit, helped by the fact that the villain he was fighting was just as compelling as the young superhero.

By the end of the movie, Adrian Toomes and his associate on the Staten Island Ferry, Mac Gargan had both been defeated and incarcerated. The movie’s mid-credit scene saw them reunite in prison with talk of Spider-Man’s real identity.

This was, what seemed at the time, a potential tease for either Adrian Toomes’ return as Vulture, a Sinister Six team up with Mac’s Scorpion, or both. As exciting as this was, it ultimately came to nothing within the MCU.

There is the potential for a Sinister Six team-up outside the walls of the MCU in the Sony Spider-Man Universe. However, based on how well Morbius went down with fans and at the box office, it’ll be a miracle if this shared universe survives long enough for anything like this.
