10 Worst Foods In Film That Will Put You Off Eating Forever

8. The Chocolate Cake - Matilda (1996)

If ever there was a film for feeders, this is it. This forced eating contest somehow works out well for Bruce Bogtrotter, which is quite surprising when you consider the grim fates of other obese Roald Dahl characters, like Farmer Boggis in Fantastic Mr Fox and Augustus Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In this scene, Bruce has eaten a slice of his tyrannical headmistress€™s chocolate cake and he€™s made compensate by eating a gigantic recreation of the whole-hog. The cake itself might look delicious, but the idea of being forced to eat the entire dense mass in front of the rest of the school is something saved for children€™s nightmares, especially when the school cook is ascribed as putting her €˜sweat and blood€™ into the making of it. Written and directed by Danny DeVito, he used two different cakes for the scene; one with two layers and another with three, which makes the cake effectively grow before your eyes; making it appear even more of a challenge for poor Brucey.
